Pottenstein lies on the edge of Franconian Switzerland, a beautiful nature reserve with picturesque valleys, forests, and rock formations. Here you can explore nature on numerous hiking and cycling trails and enjoy breathtaking views. In addition, there are a variety of climbing routes, from easy ones for beginners to challenging alpine routes for experienced climbers.

After your hike, you can relax at the Kneipp facility in the Püttlach Valley.

For Kids

The Pottenstein summer toboggan run offers a breathtaking ride through nature. Here you can speed along a 1,000-meter track at up to 40 km/h and experience the beauty of the landscape. In addition, an outdoor and an indoor swimming pool offer relaxation and sporting activities in both summer and winter. The Pottenstein climbing forest offers a variety of climbing routes for beginners and advanced climbers. Here you can test your climbing skills and experience nature.

For adult visitors, Pottenstein offers several miniature golf courses, a soccer golf course, and the Pottenstein Golf Club, whose 18-hole course with breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside is also open to guests.

Pottenstein Castle and, of course, the Teufelshöhle, a visiting cave system, are well worth a visit, especially if the weather isn't playing ball.
